I agree with others that the fish and chips was good. We were told it was sea bass white fish, crispy batter and the chips were crispy. Served with tomato and cucumber But... this is a fish chip shop in my view and...not a restaurant. We went on Sunday evening 8pm (they advertise this as opening time on the door) but were not open when we arrived had to knock on the door. the usual nachos and loads of sauces mayo plus chilli or gherkins for tartar or ketchup/mustard. Every plastic bottle smells of grease, as do the table cloths and is not appealing. This shop does not sell alcohol so we had soft drinks (no worries but be aware of this) Finally, the price was extortionate at 600 pesos per meal this is just hugely expensive and 4 times what this would cost in the UK maybe explains why we were the only people in the restaurant. Will not return
The food was fresh and very tasty. the guacamole cheese tacos were prepared and served on expertly. fish and chips made me feel like I was back in london town. the most memorable part of the experience was the jiddishness of the owner,...Captain dag dag . he was warm, funny and made us feel at home.
My man and I were looking for special cancun food apart from the megaliths and overpriced franchises that live the beach. dag dag (fish fish) is a modest and welcoming with wonderful kosher eating. the fish chips were worth london (where the...owners out) and both the owner (israel) and the sohn (robert) were charming society. eating here was one of our most beautiful experiences in cancun. highly recommended!
Friendly mom and pop restaurant. A little off the beaten path. Casual. Small selection of menu items but everything DELICIOUS. The Fish and Chips and jalapeno dressing and tartar sauce are AMAZING. Atmosphere perfect for a vacation. Such friendly host and hostess looking to offer...you food and a fun, warm environment. Owner started singing in the middle of the meal. Was just SO fun for a Saturday night out.
The owners are amazing. We had Mexican pizza and the fish and chips. The food is fabulous, fresh, and delicious. The pizza comes with special dips, but eaten without, the flavor is still great. The fried fish is fried in a beer batter and does...not get soggy. We ate there almost every day of our stay. I have been to Cancun twice, since I became aware of this restaurant and ate out both times. I again look forward to eating my dairy meals here in the future and would come back to Cancun just for this restaurant.
