The pizza and ceviche were tasty and was able to wash it down with beer. Finished my shopping and caught...a cab back to my hotel. Super simple evening out.

We took... read more The choice for groceries is this Selecto or Walmart. This Selecto is in the hotel zone so we picked it. The Walmart is further into the city of Cancun. We took a taxi to and from here. 220 pesos each way from Royal Sands hotel....(Ie: $11 USD) The good is that they have a great variety of groceries at a good price. Several workers speak English, but not many. When I ordered food from the restaurant it was difficult to understand my choices of flavors because the cashier did not speak English. And yes, they do have a travel agent at the exit ask for your receipt and he tries to sell you an excursion. Just avoid that. There are taxis at the exit and the security guard will call for a taxi for you. Not sure if I would return or try Walmart. If I spoke a little Spanish then I would definitely return....

Excellent selection of fruits, meats and more. The tequila and wine selections were definitely above par, too.
