Always looking for new foodie eats and this place was recommended by Trip Advisor. After an appalling experience at Senor Frogs ( review has been submitted ) , we fumed our way to this place hoping to salvage what was supposed to be a fun evening for family and dear friends. Related our "margarita experience" to our sympathetic waiter --Saul. He immediately brought us a "trial" margarita for us to test. An excellent well balanced drink where we could actually taste the tequila. Switching to a more relaxed mode we ordered taking recommendations from Saul. The special beef stew was delicious. Well proportioned and balanced in flavours. The seafood stuffed chicken breast with some kind of a yummy sauce was equally good. Chicken mole was sufficiently complex in flavour to engage a conversation on how to distinguish bad from good mole. The other dishes ordered were equally well prepared. However! The star of the evening was the chicken tortilla lime soup. I make this at home and mine has nowhere near the complexity and citrusy tartness that this had. Just this delicate concoction is worth the visit to this charming restaurant surrounded by the glitzy tackiness that Cancun has sadly descended to from the charming little fishing town that it was was when we first came here. Would certainly recommend this place without any hesitation

We all ordered something different and from soups t... read more On our recent trip, we came upon Casa Tequila. I checked Trip Advisor for reviews and it did not disappoint! We all ordered something different and from soups to enchiladas...all was delicious. Very service oriented! They even accommodated a custom request for our daughter! We ate outdoors and there were a couple mosquitos but we sprayed our ankles (they have spray available!!) and all was just fine. Definitely not a problem!! Great spot that you should try if in the area!
