Captain's Cove Cancun

We went twice during our visit at Royal Sands. The food was good, service was good as always. It did seem that things were not as precise as before. Napkins and tablecloths were not ironed as usual. Second night we were there, we asked to be seated inside and we were put in a room that was basically an empty room with four tables and hotel banquet chairs. There were no decorations and no ambiance. Tables were not even set with silverware when we were seated. The servers had to set the table around us. While I know that the normal request is to be seated outside next to the water, they shouldn't have offered us the table if they weren't prepared for people to eat inside. Just felt like the room was an afterthought. The service was still as good but it was a weird vibe.

Food was excellent. Service impeccable. Atmosphere is amazing.

We love the place, the service and the food but especially the service we received from hector. He’s really one of a kind.

This used to be one of my favorite Cancun restaurants. Unfortunately it has gone down in quality. Most of my favorite dishes have been cheapened with lower quality ingredients or eliminated. With that being said the staff is still great and the food taste is okay. I'm not sure I it's worth a taxi trip anymore. I believe The Royals all inclusive has forced it to lower its standards or surcharge everything.
