Was Victor W at Temporada a mag?
This was our second meal there, the first being a year ago. The mark of a really good restaurant is its consistency, and we were not disappointed on that point. The staff are as charming and efficient as ever. I had the anchovy on toast followed by the Hiromasa kingfish with charcoal grilled asparagus and Sarah had the Octopus, both small dishes. They were cooked to perfection and attention to detail. We both had ‘Ja... View all feedback.

What Wayne W dislikes about Temporada:
We started with the anchovy and pepper toast and the prawn. Prawn was excellent but the anchovy was bland. Followed with the octopus, very good. Had the duck to finish. The duck breast was excellent but the legs were a little dry. The wine list is good with enough by the glass allowing easy matching to the dishes. Overall good, but could have been better. Celebrated my bff's birthday and had a very nice dinner here. All food was pretty yummy. Love it very much. I will visit again and recommend to my friends.

Great meal. Cosy little restaurant with good, friendly service. Solid beer list with some nice local breweries in the bottle and on tap. I tried a red IPA from Goulburn, not my cup of tea, but a brave beer to serve. The wine list is solid, matches the food well, and is not outrageously priced. The food is great, we had beautiful fresh oysters, spicy lamb cigars, and for main the steak and lamb. We even had a side of Brussels sprouts, with garlic and bacon. Yum!

After our original plans fell through, we decided to drop in on Temporada for a quick bite to eat after work. In the hurry that we were, we skipped entrées and went straight for mains. Together we shared two ‘plates’ and a side. All three were exceptional.  The spiced pork fillet with cauliflower, nashi pear and crackling was cooked to perfection. Juicy and tender, with a smoky spicy flavour, it just melted in the mouth. The cauliflower, a puree, was so finely prepared we thought it was a mayonnaise or remoulade. The dish was presented well and adorned with a fine julienne of nashi pear and a shower of feather light crackling. Next, the herb and garlic gnocchi with pepita cream and zucchini delighted both the palate and the eyes. The light and fluffy pillows, gently fried and not overcooked, were coated in a thick creamy, nutty, emulsion of pepita seeds that could have been a dish on its own – just pass me a spoon! The side kick to these two plates was a simple, yet delicious salad of fennel and herbs. Perfectly dressed, it cut through the rich flavours of the two mains without being a distraction. Temporada do great creative food and are worth checking out.

Whilst visiting Canberra w my husband and two boys (15 8) we dined at Temporada. It was certainly one of the best experiences we've had. My sometimes fussy teen sampled lots of the menu, including a fabulous steak tartare and enjoyed everything. He announced after that it was definitely the best meal he's ever had! The staff were incredibly accommodating for my 8yo son and I, both of whom have Coeliac disease, making it a very enjoyable experience. Thank you!

Without a doubt the best restaurant in Canberra. Great food and the most attentive and knowledgable staff. If you ask, they have off list 'fun ' wine. It 's a pity they won 't be getting in any more French cider. As always a great night had by all.
