Provini
Description
Provini is an Italian restaurant that has mixed reviews from patrons. Some have enjoyed the delicious food and great deals, such as the $15 pasta and drink special on Tuesdays. Others have found the atmosphere noisy and the service lacking. The menu offers a variety of options, from modern dishes like pig's head sliders to more traditional pastas. Prices are typical for Canberra, with some considering the restaurant a bit overpriced. Overall, Provini seems to be a hit or miss dining experience, with some customers eager to return while others may look elsewhere for their Italian cuisine fix.

Tried Provini, were not huge fans though. The place was very noisy and the food wasn't anything remarkable. The highlight was probably the antipasti platter… and the wine. Wasn't keen on the Salsiccia pizza (topped with potato chips), although it seemed pretty popular with other tables.
A good meal to be had here. Came with a group. Beer came out quickly. Bruschetta was green tomatoes which three people. My grain fed steak was good but would have enjoyed more jus rather than the light drizzle. Nice find for mid-week work dinner
Provini could be so much better. I've been here twice, both on quiet nights. The staff seem to suffer from the modern malaise common in sub-standard restaurants, and clearly don't give a toss about their customers. The booths to the left of the bar are the place to sit for a quiet dinner. The pasta dishes are good, but the pizza totally misses the mark. These guys think serving pizza with cold chunks of mozzarella and potato crisps instead of 'house jacket chips' is ok. It's not ok Provini. Try harder. You could be a great restaurant.
