Was Anonym at Mee Sing a mag?
Worth a visit if you're a local or visitor - their menu is extensive, the food is great and the kitchen is super fast. It's also been there since 1965 and hasn't lost all its Chinese restaurant kitschiness which is the cherry on top for us. We love Mee Sing! View all feedback.

I have been a patron of Mee Sing's for many years. The food, service, and atmosphere are all excellent. I highly recommend it for dining in or takeout.
I visited Mee Sing after 6 months and I'm happy to say that the service has gotten better. I enjoyed the rocky salt squid and my friend loved their noodle dish. I will definitely be returning.
I recently had the best Chinese food I've had in years at this place. Everything was bursting with flavor and the portion sizes were very generous. The mixed entree was especially tasty, with huge and flavorful dim sims and crispy spring rolls that stood out. We also shared dishes like sizzling Mongolian lamb, satay chicken, seafood combination, and Mee Sing Special, all of which had their own unique tastes and were clearly cooked with care. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Though the restaurant is small, it is very comfortable.
Same family has owned this old-school Chinese since 1965. old fashioned extensive menu that goes forever. there really is something for everyone. all the favourites are here, flavours are great, food is fresh, casual laid back atmosphere and friendly staff. very reasonably priced, cheap in fact. BYO, cash or card, no drama with splitting bills.
Mee Sing is a family-owned restaurant established in Lyneham in 1965. That's really really impressive. It brings me back to the days of my youth in Wollongong when going out to the Chinese was as multicultural as you could get in those days. I love Mee Sing. I love that it exists in Lyneham. I love that it's been in the one family for over 50 years. I also loved my very tasty food on this occasion. But it needs to lift its service a little. The order time of just over 15 minutes is too long ... especially when no water was provided at the first instance with the menus. The drinks order seemed to have been forgotten until i gently reminded them.. I was impressed with one of the waitresses though ... I guessed she was part of the family. Let's clone her efficiency some more please!

We go to Mee Sing Restaurant at least once a month. The food is always tasty and the service is quick and friendly. They always make us feel as if we are one of the family.
If impressions are that this is just another Chinese take away but take a seat in this small restaurant and you will enjoy some of the best Chinese food in Canberra.Tasty food at reasonable prices. Also BYO wine.
This restaurant has been at lyneham shops for about 50 years and they have a loyal following. The food is fine, suburban Chinese, but not great. My partner and I go to Mee Sing about once a month for a convenient local Chinese meal. Tonight we had nice dim sims, garlic prawns and Char Kway Tao. We asked for some chilli sauce, and a small saucer was provided. Then the bill included $2 for chilli sauce. When I paid the bill I said I shouldn't be charged for chilli sauce as every other Chinese restaurant provides it for free. The waitress then had to call for the manager. She said they had to charge for it, but on this occasion would subtract it from the bill. This restaurant is run by Australians...and we all know that they don't know how to run a real Chinese restaurant. They tried to gouge an extra $2 for a tiny dish of chilli sauce. The whole bottle costs about $2, so why try to eke out a few extra bucks from regular clients?Apart from this issue the restaurant is ok. But not special. So from now on whenever we get the urge to go to Mee Sing we will think again. Very disappointing.
