Feedback
Dry, over-cooked meats and very expensive. I did not enjoy the meal at all. The staff were very friendly.
I've just enjoyed a really good meal at La Mono after having gone past it several times during the day and planning to have a meal there ...sometime. I'm glad that 'sometime' arrived. We chose a platter and two side dishes. The latter arrived before the platter and next time we'll ask for them to come together. The cauliflower was particularly nice with a great accompanying sauce. If you are slightly disappointed with the Lebanese bread, served in a basket in a plastic wrap and not warmed, be patient. The chicken (large succulent pieces) was served in a fried bread 'container'. This is not the fried bread of unhealthy breakfasts in the far distance past, but a light, crispy warm addition to the meal. We broke off pieces to have with the two delicious dips - humus and garlic served on the platter. There was also a generous serving of tabbouleh and delicious pickled vegetables. Service was efficient and pleasant. With a glass of Lebanese wine (slightly more expensive than the listed wines) we had a great meal and look forward to returning.
What a great find. We had walked passed La Mono recently, so decided to try it tonight. Very happy experience. A lovely welcome and quick service. We shared the spinach triangles Fattoush salad with the Mixed BBQ platter and chips. A couple of Almaza beers and a glass of Lebanese red... wonderful meal and very authentic. We noticed you can grab a takeaway if you wanted. Try this restaurant, it was a pleasant surprise.
Different to your usual Turkish/Lebanese joint in CBR.. How? the good is very clean, not fatty, and full of flavour.. def worth a try if you are in Canberra and don't want to be disappointed..
I visited the restaurant on a rainy evening and received a very warm welcome. The menu is limited but includes a variety of delicious Lebanese dishes. After trying several skewers and plenty of hummus, as well as enjoying some Lebanese beers, it turned out to be a great night out.
