Was Anonym at Garran Bakery a mag?
Like Little Garran, this is one of our local eateries in this delightful, tree-lined shopping precinct. We have been eating take-away since we moved here, but more recently buy very nice coffee and locally baked pastry and eat it outside, under the umbrellas. Try the Big Country meat pies, but you'll need to get there before about 12.30 or they're all gone! Nothing posh, but very pleasant outdoor coffee-pastry coffee... View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Garran Bakery:
Little Garran Cafe was closed so we tried Garran Bakery. The coffee was average that can be bought anywhere. The food was also average. The staff seem a bit unfriendly and reserved. There are better places. View all feedback.

A standout from the crowd, with very tasty coffee........first and most important box ticked. Good variety of fresh cakes and pastries, made fresh on site. A comfortable al fresco seating option was relaxing. Very close to Canberra Hospital (2min drive) so visitors don't need to put up with the less than ideal offerings there.
What a beautiful place! Cedar Cove Resort is open year-round, offers boat & cottage/trailer rentals, maintains a sandy family beach, has a marina with a
I wanted to get a classic meat cake. $6 for 1 Pie is all I have to say. **** ridiculous Must’ve added COVID tax to the cakes at garran bakery aswell.
I went to this restaurant and purchased two small items. I decided to sit on a public bench nearby to eat a cake and share some crumbs with the birds. My 4-year-old child was happily enjoying his snack. A woman approached us and told us we couldn't feed the birds there as it was upsetting her customers. I was surprised as there were no signs indicating this in the public space. The woman then proceeded to spray a cleaning fluid near us and the birds before storming off. I found this behavior unacceptable and asked to speak to the manager. However, I was told by another server that the woman who confronted us was the owner. When I expressed my frustration to the owner, she claimed she had signs in her cafe area, but I explained that we were in a public space. The owner insisted that I couldn't feed the birds, but I argued that there was no law against feeding them a few crumbs. She became rude and insulting, so I decided to leave. I ended up paying $4.50 for an overpriced donut and $6.40 for a cake that was harmful to birds. Overall, I do not recommend this restaurant as the owner's behavior was offensive and disrespectful. It's best to stay away to avoid potential confrontation with angry staff or harmful detergents.
