Was Ralph Schamberger at Fun Ma Cafe a mag?
As soon as the dish was place in front of me, the familiar aromas of ginger combined with garlic and basil floated up at me and invoked nostalgic memories of Taiwan. There were large pieces of braised garlic and ginger in the dish that were packed full of flavour! I would definitely say this was my favourite dish so far. View all feedback.
What Terry Green dislikes about Fun Ma Cafe:
Service is great, serve is big but the food taste either too salty for one dish and a bit bland for the other. I am a big fan of taiwanese food and cook dishes at home too but the food taste here did not win me unfortunately. View all feedback.
Delicious, casual meal. Yummy food and lots of varierty. Hubby and I had 3 entrees and a Taiwanese sandwich. Taro milk tea and bubble tea was amazing too. Especially love the real taro chunks in the taro tea. Will be back
Although located in the heart of town, it is unlikely that we would have discovered this little Taiwanese restaurant had it not been for Zomato because it is tucked away out of sight off the main road. Having now dined there, I understand why it has received so many glowing reviews. It's not a fancy place; walk through a flyscreen door into a room with simple canteen-style furniture. There is plenty of natural light through windows wrapped around the restaurant and a pleasant outlook. In a lot of ways, it is very homely and the kids even commented that it smelled like grandma's kitchen. The lady behind the counter was just the sweetest and even gave us a discount on our second order of bubble milk tea. We had the fried chicken fillet with rice, Taiwanese fried chicken nuggets with rice and beef noodle soup. The food was served quickly and it was all so delicious. The chicken dishes deserve special mention - the chicken was tender and succulent with a super crunchy and well seasoned coating. And at $12 a dish, is a very affordable and great value meal. The bubble tea is possibly the best we have ever had. Made with real tea and fresh milk, it is not as sweet as the chain store offerings and infinitely superior in taste. It was so good we had to go back for more!

Shows the best Taiwanese food in Canberra. Friendly owners, although she speaks only English, she is so happy when their customers enjoy the food. It was my second time. The beef soup and the fried chicken are great! Recommend the weekend visit for the pork intestinal skin (weekend only). We had this at the first visit here and couldn't judge it high enough. Also bubble tea is excellent, Pearls are perfect gum and tea taste is clear.
Yes. As the other reviews say, best Taiwanese food in Canberra safe. Everything is authentic, used natural sugar for milk tea, and the fried chicken nuggets are not too oily. Definitely a must for anyone looking for some legit house style taiwan cuisine. Come and stop this place for an attempt, you will not regret it.
