Menu

The restaurant from Canberra offers 70 different menus and drinks on the menu at an average price of A$39.

Nestled within a hotel, this restaurant presents a diverse culinary adventure, featuring an array of dishes that span various cuisines. While standout items like the Massaman Lamb Curry and perfectly cooked rack of lamb received praise, inconsistencies plagued other offerings, leading to disappointment with dishes such as dry lasagna and hard flatbreads. The atmosphere could use enhancement, yet the attentive and friendly staff consistently elevated diners' experiences. Despite some culinary missteps, many patrons remain hopeful for a return visit, demonstrating an enduring appreciation for the potential of this establishment. Overall, a restaurant worth exploring, but with room for improvement.

Was Anonym at First Edition a mag?
The restaurant, located in a hotel, was very pleasant and the food was delicious. I would definitely return again as it was also reasonably priced. The lamb dish stood out as particularly delicious. View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about First Edition:
my man and I dinate regularly at the first output when we visit canberra and we are very happy with eating. the quality of the courts, however, was very incompatible with this matter. I ordered the lasagne, which was very dry and badly presented. my man ordered a missed dish served with a flat brot. this brot was so hard that we couldn't bite it. some of the other dishes were very good, but all in the entire experien... I recently had the opportunity to try First Edition's new Autumn menu and it was absolutely delicious! As a fan of Asian cuisine, I particularly enjoyed their bao dishes. I was pleased to see they offered a variety of pescatarian and vegetarian options as well. I will definitely be returning for another meal soon!

This morning, we indulged in the Giggly High Tea at First Edition and had a wonderful time. The staff, particularly team leader Jay, were truly exceptional. Jay went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable with his outstanding customer service. I would highly recommend this place.

Stayed in this hotel and decided to have dinner here. The food was average. Some combination of flavours just did not hit the mark. Service was friendly and courteous from a young man who looked after us that night. We sat at a table that was next to a curtain dividing the dining room from the lounge/bar area. My back was literally cms away from the person sitting on the other side of the sheer curtain. The restaurant should look at repositioning the table because that was way to close. I could hear their entire conversation and I’m sure they could hear ours.

The best thing was the service from the young man who served and looked after our table. Very polite and friendly and always had a smile on his face. He remembered us 2 days later when we went to the bar to have some hot Chocolate. The food, I would rate average, some dishes were better than others. The chicken supreme was dry and quite bland. It definitely needed more sauce or gravy. The rack of lamb was cooked perfectly. The fried squid (entree) was very tender but the floury coating had a ‘sandy’ texture to it. As for the dessert, the fondant was deliciously perfect with an oozing centre. We also had the blueberry and apple crumble which was average. I rated this restaurant 8/10 for value for money because we are Accor Plus members and got a discount on the food. Otherwise I would have rated it 5/10 based on the taste of the dishes we had.
