Was Anonym at Dickson Dumpling House a mag?
Found this restaurant while exploring Chinatown in Canberra and was able to get a very nice takeaway Chinese dinner. A great extensive menu on offer has a combination of dumplings and traditional Chinese dishes. Generous portions and fast friendly service. A good find. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Dickson Dumpling House:
Considering the amount of places we could have chosen for our takeaway dinner. We chose this one! Bad choice!! We ordered 2 different rice dishes, 2 types of dumplings, a chicken dish and a beef dish. The 2 rice dishes tasted very similar and were rather nice. The dumplings were not nice at all and I'd keep clear of them! The chicken wasn't tasty but the beef basil dish was okay. Overall very disappointed with the me... View all feedback.
Beautiful surroundings for dinner. Food came super fast. Salted hot roasted tofu is delicious. The emptying is really delicious, but cooked emptying can be a bit chew due to the thickness of the dough. Steamed bbq pork buns are yummy but do not have the fluffy bun or dark sticky sauce you will find at yumcha. The pineapple drink is interesting because it has pizz and pineapple pieces. It reminded me too much of pineapples that were too long in the refrigerator. The drink was good, but it was hard to shake this thought.
My departure in Canberra for the last ten years. This time I had yummy fried handmade noodles and xiao long bao, as well as both cooked and fried dumplings. It is fairly busy, so likely to book
Best residence in Canberra. Every time we come from Sydney, we will visit this place. Best Dry Chill Beef I've ever had. Always had great portions, veggie and meat taste nice and fresh. This restruant is open, you will always see a nice clean window when you have dinner. All staff working this place are very nice and friendly. They try their best to bring the amazing emptying around all life. I come back with my family and recommend to all my friends in Canberra.
The restaurant provides a pleasant atmosphere for dinner. The food was served promptly, with the salted hot fried tofu being particularly delicious. The dumpling filling was flavorful, although the boiled dumplings were slightly chewy due to the thickness of the dough. The steamed BBQ pork buns were tasty, but lacked the fluffy bun and dark sticky sauce typical of yumcha. The Pineapple drink was unique with its fizzy texture and pineapple pieces, but it reminded me of overripe pineapple. Overall, the drink was fine, but it was difficult to shake off the association with spoiled fruit.
I have been going to this dumpling restaurant in Canberra for the past ten years. This time, I ordered delicious fried handmade noodles and xiao long bao, along with both boiled and pan-fried dumplings. The restaurant tends to get crowded, so it's probably a good idea to make a reservation.
