Checked this again today, and the service is still good. I like a place with magazines and daily papers out for people to read, and they're still here, Menu is good cafe stuff and a good range. I was in a hurry so had a toasted sandwich and a soft drink. What Guillaume Lemaitre doesn't like about Cafe Alibi:
Had two lunches here this week. The service is still good, but the food is not. everything's become larger and more substantial, but everything I had sported a shiny veneer of oil. The chips are thin little hard straws, shiny. schnitzl itself was good, but why float it in an oily cheddar-cheese sauce? The menu said creamy avocado sauce, but it was mainly oily cheese. Great coffee, nice and strong, very quick service, great barista. Very friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere with two tv screens, daily paper etc. Prices are fair and food from the menu / special board is delicious. To date I've never had a bad meal from Alibi. Some great tasty lunch specials, in containers ready to grab n go and recently they have introduced some yummy marinated chicken kebabs for $3 each or 3 kebabs with rice for $10. Also, they offer healthy juices and great egg n bacon rolls.

I called a coffee and needed a la rose-free version. the staff was helpful and reassuring with their understanding of my needs and told me how much milk they would use. the coffee was nice, it tasted good and was the right temperature I noticed the employees interaction with other customers and saw that they were very helpful and understanding for every customer needs.
Little cafe tucked out of the way. Food and coffee consistently good. My go to place for work lunch without the background noise
Coffee here is always fabulous. Service is very friendly, the staff know their regulars by name almost anticipate their orders. Meals are well priced and tasty. Highlight is the calamari, always good. The specials board often has some great menu additions. Preprepared meals are...ready in the Bain-Marie to takeaway, my only concern with these is that they could sometimes do with more seasoning.
