We were at the Christmas market on a very rainy, windy, and cold evening. We were in search of something to warm us up. The savoury pies in the display case immediately caught our eye. There were several flavours to choose from. We decided on the steak and ale pie, a Belgian hot chocolate with marshmallows, and a cookies and cream cookie. They also have other sweet treats, like Kawartha Dairy ice cream. The pie was j... View all feedback.
What Noah Douglas doesn't like about Sweetie Pie (distillery District):
The service was really friendly; the layout was odd, but the employees were patient and helpful. I got the chai latte which was actually a London fog with a chai tea bag. I don't think they know how to do a chai latte, and I would recommend asking for it to be sweetened for a classic chai. My friend got the mocha which she really enjoyed. A small pie house among so many other establishments inside the Distillery, but it draws attention because it is a small door on the outside, but a space full of flavors on the inside! Sweet Pie is run by a woman and has a peaceful, pleasant environment to have a coffee, eat a good piece of sweet or savory pie, and even enjoy ice cream. The house has options for small individual pies, large pies or just pieces. It's difficult to look at the window and choose just one piece. The place is pet friendly, with water for our friends and some snacks. During the winter the tables are just inside, but in the summer, some chairs are placed outside. The store door is open all the time during opening hours, and they have a small level at the entrance door, which ends up hindering the passage of a wheelchair user or a customer with a walker or cane, so attention is needed. They don't have a menu in Braille, but they are always available to help customers. It's really worth knowing: tip, the blueberry pie is simply incredible! Awesome and quaint little store. There are limited options, but on the day I went in, there was something gluten free, vegan and lots more. Amazing apple pie. Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch Price per person: CA$1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Apple Pie
Just when you think the sweet pies are good, the savoury ones are just as awesome Can’t remember which ones we got, but nice amount of filling and flavourful sauce that every bite was heavenly The crust was perfection. Nice and buttery and would totally eat that just on its own Eating pies in the summer must be such a vibe here at the trendy but very aesthetic distillery district Service was great as always from sweetie pie. We had lots of decisions to make on what to get and person was so patient. Definitely one of my fave spots for pies Great job overall Service: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: CA$10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
