Rowley's - Camperdown

The Rydges hotel in which it resides may leave a lot to be desired (certainly if our room was anything to go by - and we tried to upgrade to no avail), but the food is really quite good. What a pleasant surprise for dinner on a cold and wet night when the prospect of venturing out was simply too much. We expected less than average and were treated to superbly cooked pork and chicken breast, a decent Marlborough sav blanc, super service and great coffee. Don't ignore it, even if you are not staying at the hotel.

Very, very poor selection of breakfast items. No salads, cold meats, cheeses or special dietary needs.I am lactose intolerant, gluten free. All I could eat was some watermelon & the juice (which was canned).Bacon was microwaved & too salty, no choice of eggs or tomatoes.

The food and coffee is good and service is always good and happy staff and always helpful would recommend

Limited and expensive, but food ok. Staff very friendly and obliging. Meals were prepared in a short time and served hot.

Liked location hotel is very tired and rundown air con not working car parking is very tight and expensive for the amount of spaces available
