The pub menu has a small variety of food including sandwiches, appetizers and entrees and a special. I had the special which was a Thai shrimp dish and it was quite good. There were vegetables, noodles, shrimp and seasoning and a nice mix of flavors. The outside seating provides a view of the water which was quite pleasant. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Tyee Pub:
An average loud pub. We were told the food was very good. My burger was decent, the fries were skinny and nothing to write home about. My husband said the fish chowder was the best he had ever eaten! View all feedback.
Can be very noisy inside. Lovely outside with friendly helpful staff. Good mojitos. Food was a bit average unfortunately.
We ate here several times during our stay at Painter's - and had the fish and chips two out of the three times! SOOOOOO good. Very friendly staff, cold beer and stunning patio - life here is good.
The meals are buffet. Breakfast and dinner. The breakfast is set up very well with choices from Eggs Bennie to pancakes and lots in between. No limits so you can fill up. It is complimentary if you are staying at Painter's, but if not - it will set you back $31.90 per couple!Dinner is set at $39.00 per person. All sorts of choices - and onWednesday they have a seafood extravaganza with crab, mussels, salmon on a plank, halibut and all manner of sides to pick from. Seconds are encouraged. Oh and there are a few desserts to choose also. A good wine selection is available with some good ones at "by the glass" so you don't have to buy a bottle. Fair prices for what you get.It is not a bargain, but it is wonderful to sit by large windows or outside looking over the ocean as cruise ships glide by. Loved it for two evenings.
There is no menu any more for dinner, just a buffet. At $40 one would expect a good selection, well cooked and well presented. Sadly, this was not at all the case. Poor selection, poor presentation and very poor food. The only good thing about our meal was the pleasant lady who served us. After going here many times over the years, always pleased with the experience, this was very disappointing. We were told the Sunday brunch is unchanged, hopefully this is correct. If this is the same standard as the dining room I don't think many people will make a second visit.
We enjoyed two dinners at the Legends Dining room while we stayed at Painter's Lodge. The food was top quality - wonderful salmon and halibut, and a very good wine list. We also enjoyed the apple tart for dessert - especially good! The servers were quite knowledgeable and attentive.
