Discovered this little Gem in Moledo recently, we went for lunch. We were the only people there but it was out of season, so not surprising it was quiet. Lovely lady serving us, very helpful with our poor poertuguse! We both had the veal (Naco do Vitela), very generous portions, superbly cooked with plenty of side dishes to accompany it. A good bottle of local Alverinho, we didn't have room for dessert, next time... Highly recommend, can imagine it would be quite busy in the summer.
One of my favorite go to places, located in the seaside village of Moledo, in the Minho Region of Portugal, one of Portugal’s best kept secrets… Don’t come if you don’t want to fall in love… Arroz de tamboril (monkfish rice) with shrimp, and be sure to reserve in advance as well as ask to eat in outdoor terrace with granite tables and benches… Their bacalhau and meats are mouth watering… Wash it all down with the house wine Vinho Verde, red or white in a bowl (malga). Don’t forget to leave room for the delicious homemade desserts!!!
Great place with terrace, where you can come with a dog! Portions are huge, we took fish rice for 2 and didn’t even finish. Very good! Rice, bottle of Vinho verde, garlic bread and 2 coffee for 21€
