Absolutely brilliant meal, between us we had steak, salad fish dishes. We took the owners recommendations were not disappointed. Small, intimate, friendly can thoroughly recommend. A bit more expensive than the other restaurants nearby but well worth it for superior food.
It is not easy pinpointing the best restaurant in Portugal, but BATISTA is certainly one of the very best. Located in a delightful little town on the border to Spain, this was a surprise discovery. As a break from four weeks of straight seafood, we had steak and Linguine Nero, accompanied by wonderful warm and crispy bread and top-class olive oil on the side. And then the desserts! I seriously can't wait to repeat the experience ...
