This is a wonderful place to either immerse or take out. People are wonderful, and it is always such a treat to go there. I'm a full-time college student and if I get the chance, that's the place I'm going. Meals are good inexpensive and you get soooo much! What User doesn't like about Shanghai:
I hate the evaluation of this restaurant a 2, but I am very disappointed about the sinking quality in recent years until it is almost terrible. I have eaten in this restaurant since 1990 and it was comparable to Fat’s downtown. Probably within the last five years, we noticed a few days of the week were better than others think it was probably the cook. But the last three times, no matter what day, it's terrible. I'm... This is undoubtedly the best Chinese restaurant in the city. They offer a delicious menu with generous portions, all at reasonable prices. My personal favorite is the sesame chicken—it's absolutely amazing! The service is consistently excellent, thanks to David, who truly knows how to take care of his customers. I also appreciate their convenient location in the Bel-Air shopping center, making it easy for me to grab takeout after a day of shopping. It's no surprise they've been in business for nearly 20 years.
I really dislike giving this restaurant a rating of 2, but I am truly disappointed by the decline in quality over the past few years; it has become almost unacceptable. I have been dining here since 1990, and it used to be on par with Fat’s downtown. Recently, I've noticed that certain days of the week seemed to offer better meals, which I believed might be due to the chef's influence. However, during my last three visits, regardless of the day, the food has been consistently disappointing. It's heartbreaking to lose a favorite local Chinese restaurant. I sincerely hope they read this and take steps to restore the chef and improve the quality! Please!
This is an amazing spot for enjoying a meal on-site or for takeout. The staff is wonderful, and visiting here is always a delight. As a full-time college student, I make it a point to come here whenever I can. The meals are affordable and the portions are generous! It's tough to choose favorites, but the chicken chow mein is absolutely outstanding! It features large pieces of chicken and onions mixed with sprouts and noodles, which is sure to satisfy even the biggest appetite. I also typically order the potstickers, whether vegetable or beef, along with wonton soup. You can’t go wrong choosing this place for dinner!
