Excellent ! We loved the food and the drinks! Innovative and interesting menu and the dishes are as tasty as they sound. Four of us shared a sampler appetizer plate, Mantoo, A vegetarian plate, and Beef Kofta kabob with saffron rice. The portions were ample, but not huge, and had distinctive, well balanced flavors. We will be back! View all feedback.
What Nat Herman doesn't like about Pig + Poet:
Lovely space and creative menu, but the service was less than hospitable from the moment we arrived. Host was downright rude and server was disinterested. Hard to imagine why we would return. View all feedback.
The dining scene in Camden is known for its high standards, but our experience at Pig and Poet fell short. We ordered fried chicken and shrimp and grits. The chicken lacked seasoning and was bland, while the accompanying cookie was not evenly heated. The shrimp and grits arrived at different temperatures, with the shrimp being cold and the grits being watery and warm. The potatoes served with the chicken were a highlight, but overall, we were disappointed that a $60 meal did not meet our expectations.
We love Pig and Poet and are frequent diners. Patrick runs a wonderful restaurant and Manny is a great waiter. Always attentive and remembers what we like to eat and drink. The food is inventive and delicious. When we dine on Thursday night, I got a phone call that my mother died. Patrick and Manny have done a wonderful job to calm me down and arrange for our food to take with us. Tonight, the 21st October, we eat for the last night of the season 2017. It will be hard to say good mood for friends and fabulous food, but we are already looking forward to 2018.

The highlight of Pig and Poet was definitely the cocktails, but unfortunately, the rest of the experience didn't quite measure up. The menu was limited and the food didn't meet expectations - the portion sizes seemed off, with too many vegetables compared to the fish on my partner's plate and an overpowering amount of corn on my pasta. The mushrooms in my dish were undercooked, requiring me to cut them myself at the table. Additionally, the fig jam turned out to be raspberry, a minor issue that could have been mentioned by the server. Overall, the prices were too high for the quality of the food being served.
I had fried chicken. The chicken was hard and playful tasting staff very apologetic and refunded dinner price.
