Bay View Lobster - Camden

Great place while it was in business, Now visit Peter Otts.

I'm sorry to hear that Bayview has closed its doors. It was one of the best memories of my life. Every year my wife and I went to visit our kids at their camp in Freedom, ME. We looked forward to a quintessential Lobster dinner at Bayview. The Lobster there ruined us. It was perfectly cooked and sweet. We would wait for an hour for a table when they were tiny. Picnic tables, some two seat tables! Awesome memories.

The staff was welcoming, the room was large, the bed was very, comfortable, the double vanity was a treat and the fireplaces were beautiful. We enjoyed drinks and small plates at the rooftop bar with an amazing view of the marina. The cheese plate was especially lovely. Breakfast was delicious. I cannot recommend 16 Bay View more highly.

Couldn’t be in a better location. You can park behind the hotel and you don’t need your car again. You can walk to everything. Camden was great. 16 Bay View was extremely accommodating. They hooked us up with a parking pass before the room was ready so we could walk around town. Bathroom was great with heated floors. We will definitely stay here on our next visit to Camden.

This was a fantastic find for a last minute choice when we added Camden to our Maine vacation. I only wish we were there longer. The hotel itself was super charming and the room was fabulous. It has a a lovely balcony, amazing soaking tub plus a rain shower as well as a gas fireplace. It was a perfect location within walking distance to everything. Rooftop bar was lovely as well. Parking was challenging at first, but the staff was very helpful and we found a spot with their assistance. If I’m ever in Camden again I will not hesitate to book a room at 16 Bayview.
