What User doesn't like about The Rocket In Euston:
Busy pub, great range of beers plus.other regular drinks. Good food menu but the service can be slow.. the excuse, short of staff just like so many other hospitality sector outlets View all feedback.
The Rocket was average in terms of food, drinks, service speed, and cleanliness. While nothing was particularly bad, nothing stood out as exceptional either.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone with allergies. Despite working with Natasha to determine the best menu item for me, I was repeatedly informed that the chef refused to make my chips due to potential cross-contamination in the fryer, even though the chips did not contain any of my allergens. I insisted that I would be fine eating the chips, but after several refusals from the chef, I decided to order online to avoid the issue. When my food arrived, the chips were missing. Thankfully, Natasha arranged for my chips to be delivered separately, and I ate them without any problems. However, I was still upset about the ordeal as it took over 15 minutes to place my order and I was disappointed with the outcome. I am knowledgeable about my own allergies and had accepted the risk of cross-contamination, so it was frustrating that the chef tried to override my decision. I would have requested a refund if I had not received my chips, as it was what I had ordered. The restaurant's menu advertised allergy-friendly options, but the chef did not follow through. Even Natasha acknowledged that I had been treated unfairly. This experience was unacceptable and the chef should have adhered to my requests.
I went to this restaurant for dinner and the wait for our food was pretty long. We ordered the chargrilled chicken but it came out a bit burnt and had a buttery taste. The overall experience was average.
Where to begin… You can order online via QR code but then it wouldn’t accept my card. Fine, I go to the counter to order. 5 minutes later someone finally approaches to serve. Takes 5 minutes to order as they have no idea what’s on the menu. Paid all good. My wine the one I order is out. Fine, I’ll have another. I’m curious to see what takes so long and can see the cork being butchered so I go over and open the bottle for him. I’m ok with this too. It happens. Get poured a beer sized wine to the rim of the glass. Water glasses are dirty and the wine glass needs a wash before serving me. Food was less than average. I regret stepping foot in here.
Was in London with a friend, stumbled across this gorgeous pub! It’s got a lovely new interior, the staff were welcoming. Loads of beers and ales to choose from and a large menu with a smaller lunch offer for £8.50!
