What shhhJ1757QK doesn't like about Tapping The Admiral:
Unfortunately the service was slow. When the bar staff came for our order we couldn’t have a price list menu which was odd, so just ordered house wine. To eat we ordered a burger which (after an hour waiting) the staff informed us had run out but we could have the pie that was left. When you’re waiting and waiting, hungry and can’t order drinks it spoils the experience. It’s not difficult to print menus, take orders... View all feedback. read moreNestled away from the tourist paths, this inviting pub offers a delightful blend of British charm and a robust culinary experience. Guests rave about the excellent selection of cask ales and hearty Sunday roasts, featuring perfectly cooked meats and impressive crackling. While some diners reported service hiccups and occasional menu shortages, the warm atmosphere, highlighted by the beloved pub cat, Nelson, draws patrons back. A great reggae playlist and live music on Thursdays enhance the experience, making it a neighborhood gem worth revisiting for its comfort, quality food, and friendly vibe. Overall, a promising destination for craft beer aficionados and roast lovers alike.
