Reviews summary

Spread Eagle, a once-beloved gem in Camden, has seen a mixed bag of experiences recently. While praised for its vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff, some patrons lament the decline in food quality and service efficiency. The vegan snack platter disappointed many, while others faced issues with meal timing, particularly during busy events like the Six Nations. Drink prices, especially for Guinness, sparked concern, feeling steep for the quality offered. Nevertheless, some visitors enjoyed quick service and tasty food during less chaotic visits, indicating potential for improvement. Ultimately, the venue must address its inconsistencies to reclaim its former charm.

I loved this place when I was a young A&R. The food was mid and the service unkind. The highlightbis a young lady called rachell. I will be working near and will direct the young men as a present. Too many beta Camdonites. The poor girl.

The best pork belly roast in Camden! I absolutely adore it. It takes real skill to cook pork belly that perfectly. Hats off to the chef and the team. We will definitely be returning very soon.

Great fish and chips! Some nice IPAs on tap too! Mulled wine offered at Christmas time which was well worth the detour.

Once again, the Spread Eagle did not disappoint. They had a nice selection of hand-drawn ales, a good variety of wines, and the food was superb as always. The service, especially from Nikki Nicola, was excellent. The only drawback was having to wait at the bar to order drinks, which I still prefer to do. Congratulations to everyone at the Spread Eagle for their hard work and excellent service. Well done!

I was really impressed by the gorgeous staff at this restaurant. They were incredibly friendly and attentive. The food they served was also delicious and showcased local designs.

I went to this restaurant after work and found it to be lively but not overly crowded. The atmosphere was beautiful and they had a good selection of beers, including two Young's beers, Proper Job, and a few craft options.

It's a good pub. Well located in the heart of Camden. Works naturally. Young beer kept in top condition. Young a slightly acquired taste, but it is worth when you get there!

We recently had our work Christmas party at the Spread Eagle and it was fantastic, they were accommodating to all our needs, supported us with choices within our budget and made the booking process very easy. Plus the food and drinks were great!

I have set the snug and the eyrie on spread eagle for my 40th birthday and would not have wished any better experience. before the event was the communication with the pub perfectly responsive, understand and friendly. we arrived a bit early in the night and were shown up to the beautiful rooms in the upper floor by the friendly and attentive staff who continued to get around and check everything was in order, take drinks orders, and make sure that everything was in order with a member of our party who had special nutritional requirements. we had the opportunity to play our own music in the room, and eating and drinking was excellent and served exactly when the team said it would be served, and the private rooms even have their own toilet! great selection of beating, weep, spirituoses and cocktails to choose from. absolutely 5* night thanks!

This pub is great! It is conveniently located in the heart of Camden. They have a variety of well-kept beers, including some unique options that may be an acquired taste for some, but definitely worth trying when you visit!

Okay where to start... The Spread Eagle has mixed views, mostly good. Been wanting to go for a while but I’m never in the area and finally got the the time to go.I went with the family for evening dinner. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was calm and the food was amazing! It took us all by surprise.. it’s a bit pricey for most, including us, but the quality of the food was worth it. Highly recommended this pub! We will definitely be returning. Thanks for a Pleasant evening!

Went here by chance whilst walking from the zoo into Camden, we love a good Sunday roast and have ate them at loads of top rated' bars and restaurants in London. Have to say this has been better than 90% of them, the chef knows exactly how to knock a roast out and the staff were spot on too! They also pour a cracking pint of hell's so it's a win win! See you Sunday!
