I only had beans on toast and tea, so can 't comment beyond that re dishes, but it was good value, the guy was charming and tea was 'proper ' loose, not bag and served in a teapot not a cup, now sadly more the norm. A welcome place after big London hike. View all feedback.
What Clare T doesn't like about Polly's:
It was empty for a reason . . Very sad as I used to come here many years ago and it was delightful. Place was dark and grubby, loo was shocking. Scrambled eggs were pale, watery and tasteless. Juice tasted as if out of a carton. Not sure how this place survives given the other lovely options on South End Green. View all feedback.
This place is cosy, and cheap too. The food is really yummy. Pat has been there for so long, the place would not be the same without her. If the man is serving, I would steer clear, as he definitely does not know what customer service means. Very miserable.
Popped in for a catch up with a work colleague. I had a lovely lentil soup which was hard to pick but out of the three fabulous choices. A lovely lady served us who made me feel right at home. The only put off was the hard sales by the boss, if want a coffee or cake I tend to order it!!!
Small, lovely ole fashioned one of a kind place.. not many of them left now due to the ‘ big boys ‘ Great fry up, good price, what’s not to like !?
I've been in this lovely cafe for a quick break in the afternoon. I had a slice of Carrot Cake and it was delicious, the best I've ever had! I really suggest this place. The owners are really nice too.
Stumbled on this place by chance. Lovely family cafe and very welcoming. Most amazing lentil soup with a shared brochette. The desserts looked fantastic but alas dietary restrictions kicked in. Next I’m in the area I will return!
