Lemongrass reminded me a bit of Mandalay, in that it is a relatively unusual cuisine (Cambodian and Burmese), but a lot of the ingredients and flavours were familiar to me. Both restaurants are also very small, and the quiet, intimate atmosphere is one I love, and one that is becoming more and more rare in London After sharing some very tasty mixed starters, quite a few of us ordered the ‘fish amok’, to great acclaim... This is the best Cambodian restaurant I've been to in London. It also happens to be the worst Cambodian restaurant I've been to in London. I've traveled to Cambodia before but it's been a long time so can't really remember what I ate. My best food refs come from a recipe book I own from Rick Stein. I only put a few authentic Cambodian dishes on the menu, namely the Lok Lak Beef and Fish Amok. Our set menu included th... View all feedback.
I have dined a few weeks ago with my partner here, and I still cannot get the taste of the bark fillet lokluk out of my head. it was rich, tender and puffy, and really the most tasty bark dish I've ever eaten. I will be back for more, next time I am in the opposite (or even outside the opposite we tried also the meeressuppe, which was excellent. it was slightly sweet, sour and perfectly seasoned, and was big enough for 2, although I would have ended it happy by myself. we also tried the Papaya salad and the lemon mushrooms. both were delicious, and I recommend both to try. the drinks are cheaper than the local pubs. 10/10, 5 stars and all superlatives. only brilliant.
We came to dinner because this place is the only Cambodian restaurant in london and we really wanted to try so we did, the cook was very nice and friendly and he cooked the fish ambok and the bark steak, which was also beautiful. the products is of good quality the bark was beautiful and soft it tasted good, and must say that the mushroom was very good. this is my experience only I was not in kamboja before and never had kamboja eating before, but the experience I had here was good. ambience - ok homely service - friendly security - they all have masks on the kitchen to waiter eating well
Absolutely delicious food and very warm welcome from all staff at this restaurant. We had our staff X-mas party here a few weeks ago and I will definitely visit again. We all had a great experience and would recommend it to everyone. Amazing food. Thank...you to all the staff for looking after us. See you soon.
Lemongrass is my favorite restaurant in the world. I have been dining there since 2000 and I miss it greatly.
This restaurant exceeded all of my expectations. It was the first time I have ever ordered a second salad while dining out.
