While some experienced issues with service and outdated burgers, the overall atmosphere is warm and friendly with attentive staff and great food and drinks. The pub caters to sports fans, particularly Liverpool supporters, with a casual vibe for gatherings. Offering classic English pub fare at reasonable prices, this hidden gem is a worthwhile find for travel-weary patrons. Make sure not to miss out on the sticky toffee pudding, hailed as a standout dessert at this fantastic establishment.
Honestly, I don't know if this pub even has other vegetarian (or even vegan) dishes, but they should try the vegetarian (halloumi) fish and chips wetar sauce,) it's delicious! we wanted to eat something typical, and I'm glad we found the best vegetarian alternative for fish and chips!
A classic English pub that serves a lot of food is always a good option, although the prices are slightly above average. Moreover, it takes too long to visit the customers and deliver their orders.
Very friendly staff and good ambiente, but the service lasted very long. I tried the fish and chips, and I think it wasn't so special. the teig was crunchy and the fish texture was great, unfortunately the court was dirty. I propose to demand salt (and vinegar if they prefer) if they try the dish.
A friend to the hand! very classic English pub hidden in the back of russell square. this pub looks a little shady from the outside, as it is hidden from the sun and from the sight. the atmosphere there in large football nights is really good. the pub serves simple beer, nothing too special. they serve a typical English menu to eat. eating is really quite average. this place is really more than a pub where they drink my advice: great football vitus, not enjoy much more!
The friend at hand offers hearty eating in good portions, but to some higher courses than I'm paid for pub food. my impression of the pub when I first went there was that the inner was a bit dark and dark, but some people like this in a pub. the employees themselves were however far from gloomy and service was friendly and fast. I believe the strength of this pub is in its fish, and I recommend both the fish and the chips for dinner and also the fish finger sandwiches for a bot.
