Montserrat - Cambrils

Un placer disfrutar de la calidad de los platos y del servicio. Muy buena relación calidad/precio. Totalmente recomendable.

We arrived late afternoon and had the set menu. As advertised the service was very fast and could have been ready in half an hour. We lingered at our own free will and were not disturbed to make space. It is worth every euro spent. And the waiters were excellent as well. I would definitely recommend it.

Was recommended this place and not disappointed. There are many good places to eat in Cambrills behind the touristy front line and this is certainly one. I had their 3 course with wine set menu at €25 and really enjoyed a seafood starter and a main course of baked Turbot. My wife had a simple entrecote steak, cooked to medium perfection at €14. Being able to converse in Spanish made the experience more enjoyable and comfortable that might otherwise have been the case as there was minimal English spoken and a very Spanish/French crowd in that night as is usual in Cambrils (fortunately most Brits stay up the coast in the much less attractive Salou!!

4 course lunch for 16E inclusive of a half bottle of decent quality wine in this elegantly decorated restaurant just back from the port. The extensive fish dominated menu is better than the average set menu fare. I had Gaspacho, Spaghetti marinara, Sole and Pannacotta. Good quality ingredients, Nicely cooked, Good service. You could pay much more for not such a good lunch in many of the other restaurants in the vicinity. But a basic knowledge of Spanish helps. The menu was in Spanish only and the waiters didn't speak much English. But don't let that put you off if you take pot luck with each course you won't go far wrong.
