Reviews summary

The restaurant offers a limited menu with mixed food quality, while the atmosphere is criticized for being dingy and unappealing. However, the venue is praised for its excellent sound quality and friendly staff. The live music experience is highly recommended, with standing room only, and opportunities to purchase artist merchandise. Overall, it is suggested that patrons come for the entertainment rather than the dining experience. The location is conveniently situated in Harvard Square, allowing for pre and post-show dining and bar hopping. Stairs are required for entry.

Was Anonym at The Sinclair a mag?

A wonderful find!! Great gluten free options. Server very knowledgeable about menu. Excellent beer and wine selections. Minimalist menu, everything well prepared and very tasty. will definitely return again and again View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about The Sinclair:

Went to a show. Convenient to meet friends and grab a bite first, but menu super boring and execution just bad. Brussel sprouts were drowned in a sickly sweet sauce. Poutine and fish tacos were ok, but tortillas were stale (really! . Come for the drinks and the beer. Eat elsewhere. View all feedback.

I've visited this restaurant multiple times, but my most recent experience was fantastic! The staff, both at the bar and merchandise table, were incredibly friendly. The prices for drinks were average for the area. The venue is cozy and intimate due to its smaller size. I'm looking forward to attending more shows there in the future!

Cool Warm Club was a great concert venue with a nice atmosphere. We didn't try the food, but there was limited seating upstairs for those who needed it. The event we went to was general admission with standing room only. Donny Benet put on a great show! Thank you.

I have not eaten at this restaurant, so I cannot provide a review of the food. I have visited this venue a few times in the past for concerts, more than five years ago. The venue itself is cozy and clean, with decent sound quality. The bartender was fantastic, very friendly and upbeat. These factors are the reasons why I am giving it 2 stars. However, the other staff members were incredibly unfriendly and unwelcoming. Despite the website stating they have a seasonal coat check, it was closed on a chilly, rainy day. When we politely asked about it, we were met with a rude response. Additionally, the staff was pushy in urging us to leave the stage area immediately after the show ended. Overall, while the bartender and venue were good, the interactions with staff were disappointing. We will only return if it is for a show by one of our favorite artists, as we feel we have no other choice.

I came here to see my cousins band play. I thought it was a pretty nice venue with a main area in front of the stage and then a mezzanine around three of the 4 sides, so you could go to different areas for different vibes. There are three bars, all with a water station. One is in the main lobby area, another to the side on the floor in front of the stage, and one on the mezzanine. The bathrooms were also very clean and there was one in the lobby area, and one on the mezzanine.

I worked for a music venue for quite some time, so I know how venues tend to absorb the character of the current show therefore are not fully responsible for the vibe of the night. We went to see Tinariwen last night (a show we've been looking forward to for months) it was such a pleasant experience. Tinariwen is an iconic group. The fans were respectful kind. The energy of the venue was buzzing with happiness celebration. It would've been a great show even if it were in a empty parking lot. The Sinclair absorbed all of that good energy, but can't take credit for Tinariwen's vibe. HOWEVER, it's clear that underneath all of that good stuff, The Sinclair is still just a solid venue. Yes, the show would've been great if it were in a parking lot, but it was spectacular because it was at The Sinclair. Beautiful entrance marquee Talented sound techs Clean bathrooms LGBTQ respectful Friendly bartenders Variety of choices at the bar Multiple different levels for different vantage points THANK you for bringing Tinariwen to Boston. I was able to witness something truly remarkable because of The Sinclair. I won't forget it.

We ate upstairs inside. The decor is a combination of leather/wood and industrial touches. I was very happy with the beer menu, though they were out of my first choice. The dinner menu was small but varied. And three interesting specials were offered. My vegan nachos were tasty and surprisingly hearty. The coffee ice cream was delicious. Our server was friendly and professional. Everything came out of the kitchen in the expected time. I would definitely go back.

We went to the Sinclair prior to going to the Hold Steady show. Food was very good with some interesting options. Beer list was good as well. We sat outside on the upstairs terrace and we will be going back

The Steak Frites were cooked well, but sliced improperly with the grain. Wife had 1/2 chicken and said it was tasty. Pricing is a bit high for the value, especially for portion size. I left still hungry and am a 145 lb thin dude.

Brisket sandwich was excellent. Greens with it was fresh, lightly dressed, pleasant combo. My husband didn't love his bone marrow burger, thought it had an odd taste. ? related to the marrow or something else but he didn't say anything so that is not fair criticism. Overall good!

Attended Bent Knew with opening acts Animal Flag and Gatherers on July 19, 2018. This is a small intimate venue with no seating. The sound was incredible, great quality, great acoustics and very loud. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The Sinclair does make you empty your pockets and bags and 'wands ' you each time you enter, but that is for our own safety so no big deal, they do it fast and there is no real back-up of people. As for the bands, I came to see Bent Knee and they were incredible and I will go see them at the Sinclair in November. I highly recommend this venue if you do not mind standing.

We had a girls' night on the patio that was absolutely lovely. every cocktail, every glass of wine, all the appetizers and entrées, every laugh and all the nostalgia underneath those beautiful twinkle lights just amazing. however, nothing outdid our server, who was pretty slammed, but amazingly attentive and accommodating. and funny did I mention funny? he rolled with the dry as the desert and somewhat inappropriate humor taking place throughout our meal (bonus points for wearing the Wu Wednesday shirt! and took our indecisiveness in stride.

One of the best, if not the best, venues I have attended. The design is so clever that you have a great view of the stage from literally anywhere, and everything from the bars to the bathrooms is close-by. The sound was perfect, loud enough to have that club-feel but not so loud that you can 't hear the music. It 's a small club but you never feel cramped, even on a sold-out night. The staff is amazing and make you feel like Norm in 'Cheers. ' Speaking of which, the bartenders are friendly and can either make whatever you want or suggest any number of great drinks. I met a bunch of cool people, all of whom were having a great time. (And you meet people not in that 'I 'm drunk and everybody is my best friend ' way, but in that 'damn this place is cool and the band is awesome ' way. I am severely disabled and the staff went to amazing lengths to make sure that I could attend. I was met at the door by the manager Brendon and security head Jeremy (seriously, where else would even know their names? who quickly got me to a reserved spot where I could enjoy the show. And trust me, if they can make it comfortable for me, they can make it comfortable for anyone. In other words, if you can 't have fun at the Sinclair, there 's something wrong with you. Five stars out of five, and I wish I could go all Dubai 's Burj al Arab hotel and give it six or seven.

Hands down the best place to see a live show in town. they serve food too even though they are in the heart of so many other great restaurants. their stage, sound system and dance floor can compete with the best of them. loved every show i've attended there.

Nice quiet place for a bite before a show at the Sinclair (upstairs). Downstairs seemed to have a busier scene.

A slightly pricey but acceptable restaurant for before the show.

Dinner before show in their music venue. Great food and great experience. Having dinner before a show lets you skip the line to enter music venue. We were escorted from the restaurant right to music venue, bypassing growing line down the sidewalk!
