Cheap-ish camping for Mexico (200 pesos, with bathroom). They give you a key to use one of the hotel room bathrooms. There were a bunch of towels in the room and a loofa in the shower as if the staff uses he room. Kind of odd. The view is great and the staff is friendly. The older (only bc there are mostly teenage ish girls there) woman makes a ridiculously good margarita. We had breakfast before departing south. The... View all feedback.
What Carmen T doesn't like about La Cueva Del Pirata:
This is a hole in the wall aplace very old non finish hotel. Totally needs to be renovate . The beds are so hard and small, the Odor of Mothballs is so strong. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the women that work there are totally on their toes other than that it's just blah! View all feedback.

The huevos rancheros was just okay. It's a good stopover and the have wifi.
Probably the best choice in Camalu, but could be better. My dish with clams was very salty. Very friendly staff and a great view, though.

We are staying here. Not many people are here. I think only two other rooms are filled. Basic rooms. Clean and comfortable. Food was good. Great chef in the restaurant.
Stayed and ate here while prerunning and racing the 51st Baja 500. Checked in about 8pm after a long day Prerunning the crossover from valley De Trinidad and Mikes sky Rancho to Camalu. Looking for 5 star? Then just go home. Looking for 3 star? Nope! Want a 1 Star with tons of that Baja charm and old Mexico feel with killer homemade food and super cheap lobster with a room that's very basic and clean enough? This is it. We love Baja and this screams old Baja life... and ITS RIGHT ON THE WATER!!! Wouldn't have my honeymoon here but definitely a cool place with tons of nostalgia to stay at anytime you're off-roading thru town. 4 of us ate and drank like Vikings for about $50 bucks the night we arrived. #MurrayRacing2917 #Baja500 Kist wished the bar stayed open passed 10pm. Lol
