Fantastic food, friendly staff that make us feel very welcome the only place we ate the entire time we visited Lido Di Camaiore!!

We were turned away by our hotel, Mercure, Viareggio and found this in a back street, quite by chance. We had a beer first and saw the food then decided to eat and were very very happy with the quaiity of the food and the price (69 Euros for two people, including beer and wine for a two course meal including mussels and steaks with vegetables. The restaurant has private parking in gthe defunct apartment block opposite

A wonderful meal at a family owned restaurant, the food was the best we have had so far in Italy after spending 3 days in Rome before visiting Viareggio. Andrea the owner and chef took the time to recommend and explain the menu, his grandmothers recipe of mussels to start was fantastic as was the rest of the meal. He also recommended the wine which was great and we enjoyed our evening here so much we plan to go back again. The prices are very reasonable for the high quality of the food here. Entrance to the restaurant is on Via Alfredo Catalani although there is also a sign on the street parallel to it!

The hotel recommended this restaurant for its fine Italian food and non-touristic environment. The quality and quantity of the food and service is really excellent and fast. I’m allergic to a lot of things (like fish, chocolate and nuts) and they even used other frying oil just to make sure I’ll be okay. Also, you get foccacia bread instead of the saltless white bread in all the other restaurants. We recommend this one to everyone!
