Signoria Mare - O'Serge - Calvi

We spent the afternoon in signoria mare O’Serge with the chairs and enjoyed a light lunch on the afternoon. while the sand was well kept and clean, the distance was very narrow, which was very difficult to get up and down the beds. handkerchiefs were provided what was estimated. we had seen reviews about high prices that we were willing to pay for good food. However, after we had ordered only salatorte at €24, we were shocked how small the portions were. the fish tare was presented a spoon size of fish in a carburized cloth and the artichoke, the Mange-Tout and Parmesan salad was shaken with salat. to supplement injuries as we ended our meal, the owner and his table of the dining room guests all went to brighten big cigars, whose smoke deepened our table. the service was very bad and a stay of €130 for two sunbeds, two small salads, three small heinekens and a coffee is daylight robber. this is calvi, not mykonos, ibiza or saint tropez! honestly, the worst price-performance ratio after two weeks on the island corsika sampling amazing food, service and beaches.

It is probably one of the best meal we had in Corsica. the service is slow, but they are nice. eating is delicious. highly recommended!

We finally came back to calvi and went straight to this beautiful beach. the beach has fast service and the view is amazing directly at the old city calvi. the restaurant is just as we remembered: excellent eating freshly picked vegetables (usually from the organic garden) prompt service and corteous service. before we came back, we read reviews because we saw some very low ratings (we were afraid that the things had changed) and we were disappointed to see how the negative mostly contained in the prices. we don't understand. the price is clearly indicated on the menu that can be obtained before sitting, that is, no surprises there; secondly, we have found that this price policy has hardly changed since we first tried and in addition the variety of dishes and the quality of the ingredients that we have hardly found, which are unjustified. everyone has claim to his own opinions and we are glad that the owner did not find necessary and useful for ́satisfy' some of the negative reviews. please serve these amazing dishes! the surprise this year came from having found to the restaurant a new facility bound: naturalift by lamia. the owner has earned several degrees in aculift treatments from renowned schools in paris (acoustura tecniques directed to revitalize the skin and muscles of their face.) we received the most relaxing treatment we have ever tried. we saw results since the first session (we were able to book for 3 consecutive days.) the face was immediately radiant despite the tiredness of our journey and days spent in the sun. in the third treatment, the skin was significantly more supple and elastic. but it was the general feeling of relaxation and well-being that returned us. for us it is the first time that a spa treatment leaves such unmistakable results. the only regret is that it can only be reached here in calvi, paris and marrakech and we naturally asked them to find their way to london! thanks lamia!

We were in calvi several times and tried various restaurants, but we believe that this is simply the best. the place is simple, but with karacter. the service is attentive and dedicated. the best part for us was, however, that after years of travel we have finally experienced to go to a place on the sea and actually in the position to eat fresh fish. the owner supplies fresh fish every day and he will offer various options for the service. we had the most incredible lobster (corsican! prepared with lateral veggies and accompanied by one of the best champagne we have tried (a small producer with a very honest price.) the restaurant is also open in the evening for the most romantic sunset you can experience (at a table sitting on the beach.) thank you serge!

However the best part for us was that after years of traveling we finally experienced going to a place on the sea and actually being able to eat fresh fish. The owner sources fresh fish daily and he will offer different options for serving it. We had the most incredible lobster (Corsican!!!) prepared with side veggies and accompanied by one of the best champagne we have tried (a small producer with a very honest price).
