It's a good restaurant , facing the harbor and all the gorgeous yachts! But something missing to be the one that you choose over the variety of the restaurants in Calvi. Fish , salad .., desert , good but unexciting . View all feedback.
What Geneviève Richard doesn't like about La Table de Sabine:
Great location and atmosphere not bad food but fake!.be careful with the fish and more important with the waiters. They offer us fresh fish showing it on the table, overwhelming us no allowing to have time and space to decide and finally they have chosen a fish for us without inform about the price, we pay 110€ for two small portion over a fish that suppose to be 1.2Kg . Ridiculous expensive and more important they w... View all feedback.
Fresh local big fish....crab was delicious, steak also great! the service was perfect and wein beautiful also.
This is a not typical restaurant centrally located in the harbour of calvi. overlooking the citadel and the yachts in a luxurious and trendy environment. also the dishes are not usual and luxurious presented. meaning over the amount. very good eating. A...bit less speed between starter and main course should be. Now that food was presented quickly and if we had been thrown up, we could have finished in an hour. so it should not be in this type of restaurant. also at the end the bill was presented before we asked. not very hospitable. to make some improvements for servier staff for the full 5 points.
We chose to eat here on bastille day as the food looked nice and we would get a good view of the fireworks from the citadel. We were shown to our table fairly quickly but it seemed to take an age for anyone to come...over to take our drinks order. Once we finally ordered to took about an hour for our food to come out. The food was very nice but overpriced in my opinion. It’s a nice place to eat down at the marina.
Truly I don't know why this place gets such good reviews. The food was rather leaden and flavourless, the service slow and, if you pass the kitchen porter's station on the way to the toilet, you may get the same sense as I did of...a place that is rather careless. The location is great, the fish soup excellent but, considering the price, our main courses were really rather lacklustre. There is much tastier food to be had in this town.
We really had an amazing dinner at La table de Sabine! The fish was very fresh, the dishes were tasty and all the ingredients were of high quality. Clearly the setting was unique with the great views and the spot was the nicest one of...the port. The cuisine is healthy and sought-after. The service is good, all the waiters and the manager were very friendly and of good advice. It is traditionally up market compared to some of the more casual restaurants on the port, a reflection of the much higher quality. We tried a lot of restaurants in the port, and this one was our favourite!
