Visited to breakfast this morning. filz very safe and covid safe . the breakfast was nice, well presented, tasty and reasonable price. the majority of the staff is very friendly, easy to leave from a member of the staff, no eye contact or talk, all difficult to appreciate in masks etc., but was a scandal View all feedback.
Had a nice vegan breakfast here. we found the breakfast good, but we felt that £9 was quite a lot for a vegan breakfast that had not cloged a tofu with it. others then that the staff was good and we enjoyed our breakfast.
Arrived after a walk from Baslow along Curbar edge via Grindleford so was ready for a coffee and a bite to eat. The staff were very efficient, straight away got our 3 dogs a bowl of water and dog biscuits and then took our order. We didn't have to wait long for the best coffee I've had in a long time, nice and hot and strong. We only had some toast and marmalade as we had eaten earlier but even that was really tasty, so can't wait to come back to try something else off the menu. Definitely recommend a visit as excellent service, friendly staff and both us and the dogs were made very welcome
A highly recommended fantastic eatery. Had an excellent vegetarian afternoon tea and there were lots of options on the menu too all really reasonably priced. We have been really impressed with the food, the service and especially the Covid 19 measures. A really lovely cafe with extremely polite and pleasant staff. And thankfully they provide a doggy bag too! Will be sure to visit again!
After a delightful walk by the river there's nothing better than a good cup of coffee and a tasty bite to eat. The Eating House ticked all the boxes, excellent choice that saited the appetite very nicely indeed.
