We stopped here to pick up a few things while in town. It was during dinnertime and very busy, especially with students. Even with the long lines they have a quick check out system. There is a smoothie area and a large hot food and salad bar. We found a number of local items we could not find at home. We travel often and can always rely on Whole Foods, especially for our necessary allergen friendly products (gluten a... View all feedback.
What Mike S doesn't like about Wfm Coffee:
Worst Whole Foods I've ever been to. 22 min to check our just now at 8:15 on this Thursday morning! The staff is horrible and directed half the line to a second line that cut everyone that had been their previously waiting. Mph Not aloud in without a mask but masks are not provided or sold. I like this location. They used to have a wonderful hot cold food bar section. Wonder if that'll ever return? They made it easy for the lunch business student crowd to simply stay on one level to grab and go. Pre covid, I barely even ventured down the escalator. Post covid, you're kinda forced to as it's moderately a ghost town on that upper level. Nonetheless, a really good selection of local products and varied offerings, such as the Mac cheese section and the elderberry tonic section, to name a few. Wish this were here when I lived in Foggy Bottom! Boy has the neighborhood changed since then with the only takeaway place bring the 7-11, which is ironically still there.

Worst return experience of my life. They might as well not bother having a customer service desk if they're going to use it as a cashier lane.
Came here for fresh plants and they sadly only had 2 which were both ready to die. I looked around the store and was impressed with their hot bar and it was very busy at 1:30pm. Also, was confused about the checkout process and the long time to check out. I would come here for that 1 quick buy, but pass on shopping full here as it is crowded and not much space to actually fill out shop for a week.
The configuration of the store makes no sense. I guess some people may find this trait whimsical. However, logistically, just nope. The salad/hot bar is in the back of the store, that's fine, but they have express customers liiiiiiiinnnneee up to pay at the coffee bar, single file. There are 2 cash registers at the coffee bar, and yet, only 1 cashier was present to handle a line of, at least, 15 customers. The regular lines weren't any better. I don't know who thought this was a good idea, and why they didn't have a second cashier at the coffee bar helping out, but yikes.
