Fantastic little Salvadoran take out joint. Some of the best pupusas I have ever eaten. Would love to try there other dishes. Pupusas are 2.30 each which is pretty good for todays high inflation situation. 4 Tacos salvadoreanos for $6 View all feedback.

This is way out the way, but a friend of mine has been talking about this place for a while. I finally got to give it a try while I was killing time in the city. I walked in and immediately could tell it was a hole in the wall... never had a pupusa place like that, so I figured it was a good thing. There were people eating in the 3 seats that were in that tight place as I placed my order, and I was told they would take about 15 minutes. I decided to walk around while I waited. When I returned, they were ready, and I was on my way. It came with all the fixings I'm used to the salsa, the cabbage... but there was something else... a green sauce? It looked like one of those spicy ones, and I turned out to be right, yum! Not to mention the pupusas were PIPIN' HOT! And for $2.30 a pop, WOW. The beans, cheese and dough itself were all fire. These are definitely bomb pupusas and anyone who's in the area needs to go. You've got my approval!
This is no frills, baby. Generously served dishes made with a lot of love. We ordered chicharron y yuca as an appetizer and the yuca was crisp and amazing. Then we got pollo guisado and a grilled chicken (pollo a la plancha). Both were served with rice and beans and tortillas. Also tried the horchata and a cantaloupe beverage both made in house. We got everything to go and when we were picking up the food the cashier gave us a free atol de elote which was super nice. Go and support this local spot!
Best pupusas I've found in DC so far, my favorite is the pork and cheese. Pupusas are packed with foil that keeps them super hot for walk home. Can't wait to try more
I work directly next door in the Leasing office and I eat here at least twice a month. The guy that works there is always very nice and pleasant and has great latin music on all the time
