Oya Lounge - Calumet-Norvelt

The service was very friendly and helpful with questions we had about food allergies when my brother had to be cautious before ordering the prixe fixe dinner (which is what they're known for). The cuisine was absolute perfection, and the dishes were very creative and original.

I love the bread things. The appetizer was great. The boneless trout had bones in it and I nearly choked to death at the table. The proper response from the waiter, as I was trying to cough up the trout bone would not have been is there anything I can get you? it should have been to get the manager. I also had a bone lodged in my gums. The sauce accompanying the trout was really good, and if you want to watch out for the bones I would recommend it.

Since the inception of the Restaurant Week prix fixe menus, Oya has done one better. Unlike the typical Theater Menu, which usually has set hours and days, the Oya special 3-course prix fixe menu is pretty much around all year. The fusion cuisine allows even the most cautious eater to experience food like they've never had.
