Mi Casita Taqueria - Calumet-Norvelt

The food was good when they first opened now they just went downhill recently ordered birria tacos and it legit tasted like spoiled meat and they also spread fresh cheese over it too which does NOT go on birria tacos. Over priced and taste like straight garbage. JJ Taqueria is 10x better and cheaper.

Ordered enchiladas, 3 street tacos, and 2 verde tamales. All very good, but very spicy! ? friendly service. Would come here again! Also we are new to DC and coming from Texas we have high expectation’s :

Amazing food~ during our trip to dc, our second place we ate at was mi casita and it ended up being our last restaurant we ate at before we left. There isn't much place to sit down if you are a large group but if you are able to eat the food fresh the food would taste even better. Ordering tostadas through door dash we're still pretty good but it was a bit soggy. But that is to be expected with the timing from ordering and waiting for it to go to your location. I highly recommend getting the horchata as it was probably the 2nd best horchata I ever had!! It is also budget friendly!!
