Mario's Trattoria - Calumet-Norvelt

Food tasted like from a fast food restaurant but the service was even worse. They tried to rush you out even the restaurant was pretty empty when we were there. The waitress reached over me to pull plates away from me while I was eating with my month full… the only good thing about this place is the decor is pretty and atmosphere is nice.

Stopped in here on a weeknight for a quick dinner. The service was friendly and efficient and I appreciated the old school Italian decor and atmosphere. We were pleasantly surprised to see several TVs where we could watch the football game. I ordered the chicken Parmesan. The portion was generous and the breading on the chicken was crispy and flavorful. The pasta was fine nothing mind blowing, and it paired nicely with the chicken. Beer and wine options were available as well as a full bar for sitting and congregating.

Food was yummy, but no fresh Parmesan for the pasta really threw me. The wait staff was new and learning but nice. The wine list they gave didn't match their actual stock, but we still found a good wine. We would go back.

Great pizzas and super kind staff. Got to the restaurant near their closing time and they still sat us for a meal. Very homey and warm atmosphere too.
