The food tasted great. We tried their breads, samosa, daal makhani, pav bhaji, kathi roll and vegetable biryani. The menu options were very reasonably priced, they are available online via door dash, and the portion sizes were very fair for one meal. We were impressed by their quick service even on a busy weekend afternoon. View all feedback.
What Soheil Ak doesn't like about Bindaas:
The innovation you guys have made is not nice at all. Gol Ghappe is supposed to be eaten by putting hot water in it. Your chef puts avocado inside it instead of hot water !! Which is ridiculous. Avocado has never been part of Indian cuisine.A typical American might not realize and care for it but anyone coming from India/Pakistan would be surprised by your unnecessary creativity with Indian cuisine. The food that you... Great tapas like Indian food and fast courteous service
READ THIS BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO VISIT THIS FRAUDULENT PLACE.If I can give negative stars I could. Pathetic food, the portions are not enough so you end up ordering more dishes and pathetic service (we had to find and ask the waitstaff multiple times for the same thing). This is despite the restaurant being practically empty the waitstaff were just idling around near the checkin counter. They serve the dishes in a small ramekin cup. So if you go there hungry, be prepared to order multiple of their bite sized items on the menu to fill up your stomach. Now comes the main part. We were 4 adults and one baby 18 months old. They gave us a 4 seater table in a cramped space and did not provide high chair for my baby. Sure. We ordered, ate, and when it was time to pay the bill they sneak in a 20% gratuity for the joke of food and service they provided us. When I asked, they said it was because we were 5 people and it’s their policy to automatically add gratuity for parties of 5.If so, why does my bill clearly call out that this is a party of 4? Why was my baby not even provided a high chair? The gall to count our baby as an adult! I think they are so vile and cunning that next time a pregnant person visits they’d count her has 2 people.I now 100% believe the other reviews that call out how these fraudsters cheated other people. Please avoid this restaurant at all costs.
Bindaas is a great place for lunch or dinner with very tasty appetizers particularly the gunpowder fries. I love the vada pav for happy hour and the mango lassi is tasty, though very overpriced for the amount. Most of the servers are really kind but not many Indians working there so less understanding of authentic cuisine.
It was a wonderful evening!! From the starters, the Chaat, dahi papdi, and the cocktails to the main course were outstanding! Kathi Rolls were too, except I always thought that the Kathi is always lines with egg (unless a vegan option).I read some reviews talking about finishing/ closing early, but no, we did not experience anything like that pressure from the staff. Actually stayed a bit beyond settling the bills. Thank you for that!Great evening overall. Keep it up!
Quite an amazing indian restaurant at very convenient location in Washington DC. The food is quite nice but I believe the portion is small in accordance to the price. Plenty of seating available.
