Belga is our go to place for brunch (dinner is wonderful too)! I got the Maine lobster waffle with lobster bisque sauce and a perfect side salad. I loved it! I usually get the “Green Eggs” or the soft-scrambled eggs, but I thought I'd try something new. I'm glad I did, but I will never turn my back on the green eggs! The brunch drinks are also lovely. What Morin Tom doesn't like about Belga Cafe:
The food was good and very well presented. However, this restaurant has a big problem with its waiters. When we went, the waiters seemed like we were bothering them... they were probably stressed or something. So the vibe was off... However, the two people who brought us our plates were super nice and didn't take a second to rest. These two people were very nice to everyone. (I think these 2 persons were Latino)So fo... We arrived at 11:15 with reservations for brunch. Things were pretty quiet but by 11:30 the place was very busy. The staff was courteous and efficient with the growing crowd and did a great job. The food was served promptly and was outstanding. The Mussels Mariniere were flavorful, well prepared and a very large portion. The quiche was light and a well balanced blend of flavors. We were delighted by both dishes. A Belgian Chocolate Croissant and coffee for dessert completed a great meal.
Belga Cafe was recommended by our VRBO host and this place was amazing. Food unique and beautifully presented. We had dinner one evening and then went back for Saturday brunch. Excellent! Highly recommend this restaurant.
Great brunch place, with some fun options and a varied menu. Some options are slightly over priced (crêpes and side orders). They don’t have lactose free options which is a bit of a bummer in this day and age. As a Belgian I had high hopes for the liège style waffle but sadly it was overcooked so that left us disappointed. Servers weren’t the friendliest. They were already grabbing plates before asking if we were done. There was a line waiting to be seated, but they could’ve asked us to wrap up rather than rush us this way.
