Bar Charley is one of the best bars in DC. I always try and come here close to opening to have a quiet (excellent) cocktail and finish up work at the corner of the bar. If you come after 6/7pm it's likely busy but always worth it. View all feedback.

The atmosphere was nice, staff and waitress were very friendly and I was looking forward to a really nice steak after all the maitre d’ had proudly announced “We are a steakhouses”. However, my tenderloin was disappointing, precut and luke warm at best. The fries that came as a side were ok, but just that. Got better fries at McD. Overall not worth the money. View all feedback.
A favorite cute little neighborhood spot. Atmosphere was adorable, food and drinks were superb. Consistently go back because it has been consistently good!
Great drinks, decent food, and a great outdoor area.
Always a solid spot for a happy hour. I haven’t been beyond that, but the full menu is always available and I’ve dabbled in a few of the sides/other drinks.

I’ve been coming here since 2018 and I’m disappointed by the sneaky mandatory 5% service charge at the bottom of the menu in very small print. It’s not transparent as to exactly what rising costs they’re covering since prices on the menu is just as high as other restaurants in the area. Furthermore, it made it very awkward for the server to tell us that it’s not part of their tip when we asked what the charge is for. The whole thing left a bad taste and I’m sorry to say the restaurant made extra money in the short term to lose out on long term customers.
