Honestly, they have the best food in that entire area! And everyone who works there has a smile and a nice attitude. Even during Otakon when its crazier than ever they remained very polite. View all feedback.
What EmilyR doesn't like about Anthem:
We had a reservation, but no one was checking anyone in so we had to wait behind walk ups. I ordered 2 items and received one correct item and one completely wrong item. We waited 40 minutes to be told they would not accommodate my child's food allergies. Waiter gave us the news and the wrong order and then walked away without saying anything. The entire experience was a disappointment. View all feedback.
We really enjoyed our time at Anthem. The staff was wonderful, friendly, serving with a smile. They all went the extra mile to make sure you had everything you need. The food is more than adequate, delicious. Thank you!
I recently enjoyed breakfast at Anthem Restaurant located in the Marriott Marquis in Washington, D.C., and overall, it was a good experience. The restaurant offers a spacious and elegant setting, making it perfect for starting the day on a positive note. The breakfast menu had a variety of options to choose from, catering to different tastes and dietary preferences. The food was served quickly, well-prepared and delicious, with fresh ingredients. The service was attentive and friendly, adding to decent meal it was a little less personal than what you’d expect to get in a Marriott out of the city. I would still recommend Anthem Restaurant for a satisfying breakfast experience in the heart of the city that is super fast to help you get to meetings etc on a full belly…but $7 for coffee is silly.
Whatever you do do not order the Caesar salad. It was probably the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen in my life. It had anchovy skins, barely any dressing, and a weird unappetizing mix of kale and Romaine. Service was friendly but very overwhelmed. I’ve eaten here before and other things on the menu are decent.
Due to a shortage of staffing, it seemed that the waiter was pressed for time, given the greeting he gave us, when he said “what do you want to eat?” In addition, the food was on the bland side (Eggs Benedict). However, I did enjoy the Marriott Continental Breakfast.
