What User doesn't like about Peru Mar Restaurant:

Food was not really edible. I ordered the beef tenderloin risotto, and my husband ordered the octopus tentacles, both meals were not good at all! My risotto was not really risotto, it was just rice with broth, meat, and peas. It was not creamy at all...and had no taste. I took two bites of it and put it to the side. I was determined not to complain because I did not want to seem like a spoiled westerner. However, the waiters saw that I was not eating and asked me what was wrong, and I told them I didn’t like the food at all! My husband used google translate to explain what was wrong and why I wasn’t eating my meal and they took it away seemingly like they were not going to charge us for it but I was so wrong! My husband also did not like his meal! His octopus was over cooked, had no tentacles on some of the octopus legs and was sooo tough he said it could have broke his tooth! He has had octopus in many restaurants around the world and he told me it was absolutely the worst octopus he’s had ever tasted. He ate his food but was not satisfied with it. The waiter boxed the left over food that I did not want and put it in a to-go box and charged us for it even though I was not satisfied!!! Worst dining experience of our life, and definitely worse experience in Cartagena! Cartagena has many good restaurants and this is the worse we encountered on our trip! We ended up going to the Peruvian restaurant across the street Cuzco! Much better food, and atmosphere! You would be a fool to not go to Cuzco over Peru Mar! To make matters worse this was our last meal in Cartagena, not a good food experience at all! Attached are the pictures of what not to eat. Consumers be aware!
