Cedar River Seafood - Callahan

This is the worse Cedar River Restaurant I have been to. The oysters, shrimp, and scallops tasted like the chef cook poured a box of salt in the batter. The waitress was loud and country. Poor experience. I wouldn't recommend this Restaurant to anyone. Maybe it is the Callahan experience.? Certainly not mine.

This is our regular go to for seafood in Callahan. You can't go wrong with the fried shrimp and flounder.

We stopped for an early dinner while driving through and the food was delicious. It had the usual fried seafood options but added broiled too. Both seafood and fish were on the menu. There were several side dish options and enough for a big appetite or leftover meal for the next day. Everyone in the restaurant was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our food and visit definitely would stop again! Parking: There was a free parking lot with several spaces. At peak times, parking might be harder to find. The lot is medium sized. There was a small step up onto front entry porch if you are not using the handicapped parking.

A 83 year old birthday celebration ruined. My aunt asked for light batter on the fish, the server said The COOKS are not in a good mode and they said NO! Never will step foot into this establishment again for treating senior citizens. So disappointed
