We have given it a few tries. Lots of cool history. The people are very friendly. The food and atmosphere have potential but isn’t that good. The food is reheated frozen goods would be awesome if it was homemade. The restaurant itself is old, dark and probably hiding lots of dirt. The smell of the overflow room reminds me of vomit. I had an absolutely fantastic experience! Having been born and raised in a small town in Mississippi, I'm quite familiar with small-town diners, and I can easily recognize a good one when I encounter it.
I have eaten here regularly and the food is great. The service, however, leaves much to be desired. Don’t go at lunch time. Today’s visit was atrocious. After sitting down and receiving a menu (but wasn’t asked if I wanted a drink), I sat for 20 minutes watching other people who had arrived after me order drinks and their meals. After being ignored for 20 minutes I walked out. It will be hard to go back after this experience. Food: 4
