We visited this restaurant on our holiday in Cali on the 15/9/18 for dinner. Supposed to be like a Valentine's Day in Cali. All red hearts and balloons in restaurants everywhere. Not here though. Very sterile but elegant setting portraying a very serious restaurant. We...were seated promptly and orders taken. Our lack of Spanish language knowledge did not help us at all. There were two waiters serving and about 30 seated for dinner service. Anyway we managed to,order of the English menu. Prices in C.O.P Ordered entree Frutos al sart 13000. Ensalada mar d 22000 per serve. Pescado Entero 36000 Arroz mariners 36000 2 x stout beers 14000 Entree took ages to come but the three very tiny morsels of food were all delicious in taste and texture. Well presented. Salads the next course was brought in and it nothing but chewy rings of oily fried crumbed calamari served with a very poor plain lettuce mix salad. No dressing, nothing. Shocking dish of just leaves and few bits of crumbed calamari. We ordered only one serve but misunderstanding brought us two. We tried to cancel one of the mains but they said it was already prepared. Rushed to our table were the mains. We had not even gone through our salads. Seafood risotto like preparation with rice and seafood. Let me be honest it was terrible. The seafood was all cooked through like rubber, chewy. No flavour. Why on earth would you cook the seafood so much. I did not get it. The other main was Pescado Entero. It was fish of the day whole cooked fried. Again the same thing. Cooked the **** out of the poor fish making it very unedible. We enjoyed the cerveze negra which is black beer in Colombia just like stout but mild strength. It was not a very pleasant evening at all. The restaurant came highly recommended by our hotel manager. I think they were short on staff as well. A very hefty bill for unpalatable food. Would we return. A definite No. My opinion as above only. Love good food but this was not to be Make up your own mind. We did pass by the restaurant a few times during our weeks stay in Cali but it was rather empty?... wonder why. Everything was badly presented. For a restaurant with so many awards on the wall it was hard to believe that they deserved it. Go somewhere else there are wall to wall restaurants in that street. It was so dissapointing I did not even take pictures. Total bill on the night 156200 COP with 10% tip and also 8% tax
The restaurant is very nice and the service is great. The seafood dishes are amazing and I enjoyed every single bite of my crab, ceviche, and fish dishes!
The food was good (not bad, not excellent). The service is ok. For me it was strange that our group was the only one at the restaurant at a Wednesday night. Other restaurants in the neighborhood had more people. The "lulo" juice is good, but this one was very acid. The other day I had other in another restaurant and it was better.
I had a English speaking driver take me to a good seafood restaurant. This was a good choice for me. I had a fresh, flaky filet of fish with a delicious sauce. Side of salad and rice with coconut. I tried the jugo lulo for the first time and enjoyed the change. Excellent furnishing, nice interior design, were warm feeling in restaurant. A restaurant to return to on another trip.
