Delicious coffee/queijadas/espécies de São Jorge and great view, friendly staff. A place worth visiting.
A visit to Cafe Nunes was worth the trip! It took about 30 minutes from Urzelina. The drive had scenic spots peppered all along and it was a pleasure to drive there. The last few km are on a windy road (watch out for cars coming the opposite way as the road is narrow , but the road is paved and I had no issues driving down (and up . It was great to visit the mini-plantation with Dina's explanations. I truly enjoyed the coffee and coffee pastries too. It's a family business, where all is done by hand. This explains the higher price of a coffee bag, if you want to take one home (you should! .
As this is the only coffee plantation in Europe, this is exotic. The cafe is quite far but the view along the way is nice. The coffee is good but not really so different. Quite expensive so I did not buy to take home. Their pastries are good though.
Great coffee. Great pastries. Great people. A nice little tour. Locally made handicrafts. Definitely worth the visit!
This cafe has some pastries and the coffee is delicious. The owner is very friendly. To find it, you'll have to drive down a windy road that doesn't exist on google maps. The easiest way is to follow the signs for Faja dos Vimes and when you get to end of the road just keep going. You'll be in a GPS no man's land!
