Trullo Trattoria - Calgary

My wife and I tried Trullo Trattoria for the first time on the evening of April 11. It exceeded our expectations. There was a nice level of conversation from the 6 occupied tables to make the casual atmosphere very relaxed and enjoyable. My wife and I had a glass of Valpolicella and shared the calamari which was the tastiest we’ve ever had anywhere. My wife had the chicken dish (Pollo which she said was the nicest dish she’s had in a restaurant in the longest time; plated and presented beautifully. I was craving veal so I had the bolognese, which was excellent and also presented wonderfully. Although we didn’t have dessert, we did have a cappuccinos to end the experience. (When we go back again, we must try the Olive Oil Cake wow! . The chef is a master; top quality for certain. Rod, our waiter was outstanding and had a great sense of humour. The young woman who seated us, sadly we did not get her name, was very polite and friendly. We will be back to this restaurant in Oak Bay Plaza in Oakridge soon. If you want an outstanding, memorable dining experience in all the best ways, Trullo Trattoria has to be your destination.

The food was superb, I had the veal bolognaise as well as the amaretto sour ... highly recommended. Service was excellent and the atmosphere very pleasing with low volume appropriate music. I will go again. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$40–50

My fiancé stepped into Trullo Trattoria for a bite to eat and let me tell you. Jeremy, our server was just phenomenal. Hospitable, gracious, attentive, informative and friendly. The staff have great chemistry and it truly makes the atmosphere better. The general atmosphere is spotless, on trend and relaxed. The colours and design choices were so magnificently chosen. As for the belle of the ball, the grub. Amazing. Hands down amazing. My fiancé had a lamb ragu and I had the prawn fettuccine. This is our regular spot for dinner as a couple, and occasionally with the kids as well. Great vibe, tremendous staff, and the food is incredible! I want to try the entire menu but can’t stop ordering the bolognese! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
