The Trop Bar & Grill - Calgary

My husband met a friend for a beer. He ordered a Thai Chicken Salad for me to go. When he got home there was NO CHICKEN. $22 for some cabbage. ?‍

Unfortunately a dive is a dive is a dive...Putting lipstick on a pig and calling it anything else but a pig?Walked in at open for a drag brunch... only bathroom available for customers. The other was un use for preformrrs. Perfectly acceptable. The urinals were in other one, with one toilet stall. The bowl?.... on the outside.... was covered in dry vomit. So. Obviously, a cleaning is something to be desired.Food orderes didn't come together staff ate it we were told?

I went to the Drag Queen Brunch today Nov. 25, the show was good. The host Karla Marx was excellent! she was funny, and her performance was the best out of all the performances that day. The down side to my experience at the Trop, starts with my steak and eggs. The eggs were good, the steak had a funny smell, I took a bite, thought it must be me, I took one other bite and pushed the plate away. I told our server Maddie, she was so sweet and removed the meal from my bill. Kudos to Maddie. ok, I now had to use the washroom, which has one stall for the whole restaurant. There was about 45 people there today. I felt rushed since there was a line up, of course. The bathroom was disgusting!! the toilet was so dirty, with stuff down the front. Went to wash my hands and the water was ice cold!! Of course now all I could think about was, oh my god, I hope the kitchen has hot water, as well as the cleanliness of the the kitchen and what about the staff who also use this washroom, their hands aren't getting clean using COLD water!! Thankfully I had hand sanitizer in my purse. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this establishment.Parking: come early so you can find a place to park,

Top notch service. Just wanted to take a moment to compliment the service we received from Molly our server the other day. She was fantastic all around. She was strong at her job seemed to know her job well! Been multiple times at this location and I can truly say her service exceeded the rest. Thank you again.

My first time at The Trop was a great experience! My server Molly was exceptional, her knowledge of the menu was amazing! Matt was also extremely friendly and helped make my first time at the trop a great one. I will most definitely be back.
